We're riding bicycles on the Don Valley Parkway. Yes. Really. And it's legal. And it's for a great cause.

I wrote a little blurb about why I'm doing it.

I am doing the big Ride for Brain Health because I am a bit terrified of Dementia and Alzheimer's, and really want to find a cure. It isn't a personal concern to me because of someone I know, for example, but rather a fear because I can't imagine the pain or horror of slowly forgetting who the people you love are, or the people who love you, and the pain on the entire family. I think people underestimate the pain on all members of the family.

There's a particular song, "Doing the Right Thing" by Daughter, which I think outlines my fears in beautifully haunting lyrics.

"And in the night, I'll call out for my mother; but she isn't coming back, for me, because she's already gone; and you will not tell me that, because you know it hurts me every time you say it; and you know you were doing the right thing; you must know you were doing the right thing."

I think the pain of reliving the moment you find about the death of a loved one, for the first time, but over and over again, for example, is among the worst kind of pain that exists.

Seeking guest input:

When I started Falcon Autosport, the economic situation in Canada was decent enough to have hope for the future. This is no longer the situation. The Canadian government continues to do nothing to fight for the affordability of everyday Canadians. Falcon Autosport is being bled dry by the economic climate in Canada. I've heard the complaints and struggles, I know that people still want track days but can't afford them. This cuts registration numbers which costs Falcon Autosport extra money, which creates this cycle where the few who can attend end up having to pay more or get a worse experience in order for me to even be able to afford to hold these events. All losses come out of my personal bank account.

I'm already in negotiations with a new website provider that offers all of the same options or more options

So, I ask you: what's your preference on how to proceed?

Option 1: Put Falcon Autosport on ice until the economy improves.

Option 2: Charge more

Option 3: No photography, no pizza, no bonus/extras

Option 4: Charge a membership fee up front for access to Falcon Autosport track days so that events that are on a date guests cannot attend due to previous commitments or other scheduling conflicts don't hurt Falcon Autosport as badly, and run off of a "lapping club format" instead

Option 5: An idea that you have (put it in the comments)
