I was very lucky to be in Victoria last weekend for Victoria Frocktails! It was a beautiful event with so many inspiring sewists. Plus, it was in the Empress Hotel, a gorgeous historic building!

Also, it's spring there, so I was grateful to be able to wear my new dress. I'm sorry to those in Ontario who are not yet in spring, but it will come soon! Right? It has to arrive eventually!
Dress is an old McCalls Laura Ashley design in a bright and light cotton/linen blend that I got at our soon-closing Fabricland.

Sad news today for our Toronto friends, but the reality is that it's too expensive to send small bundles for free to Toronto every week.
Toronto shipments will go back to only every second Tuesday, to .

It's Friyay! Happy weekend everyone!
I know what is doing this weekend, but what about you?
If you are in KW and want some last minute sewing plans, I'll be printing Saturday morning for afternoon pickup at the Squirrel! Just saying, you could be sewing...
And I'll be finishing up a pretty new dress for spring (I live in hope), in this gorgeous linen, after the print day is done!
Gertie's just going with the flow today, living her best life.
You know why? Because she doesn't have to go out in the rain/sleet/snow today like the rest of us! Jealous!
Today we are packaging up goodies for and , plus some class supplies for local sewing workshops!
Feeling like a genius over here with my latest garment modification!
We all complain about either lack of pockets or too-small pockets, and this time I decided to do something about it.
Because while I am on a journey to sew my own fitted pants, I'm not quite at the point where I can make jeans that fit me. These store-bought jeans should last until I can sew my own, and in the meantime, at least my phone won't fall out of my pocket while I'm biking!
