Just a little reminder…

We’ve been led astray—again and again.

We’re told it’s all about genetics. But what else gets passed down? Eating habits.
Health habits. The way we care for ourselves. Generational patterns run deep.

Makes you think, doesn’t it?

When critical thinking is discouraged and we’re expected to accept what we’re told without question, deception slips in unnoticed. And history keeps repeating itself…

Unraveling the truth about food and nutrition has been one of the most eye-opening parts of my journey into homesteading. The deeper I dig, the clearer it becomes—our great-grandparents didn’t abandon traditional foods by accident. They were nudged, misled, and marketed into a system that benefits from our dependence, our lost skills, and our declining health.

I didn’t always see it. Growing up, I never questioned the ultra-processed foods on my plate. I avoided fast food, but that was the extent of my awareness. My parents didn’t know, their parents didn’t know—so how was I supposed to know?

Why were our ancestors told to ditch natural, time-tested fats for synthetic alternatives? It’s worth asking.

For thousands of years, humans thrived on animal fats—then suddenly, the “best” homemakers were using vegetable shortening? That wasn’t a coincidence. It was marketing.

And what happened to public health when this shift took hold? Take a look around. The answer is right in front of us.

A sick population is a profitable one. Keep people alive, but keep them unwell—turn them into lifelong customers.

Keep eating the fruit loops, the Doritos, the lab-made “foods”—just don’t question it.

Because the system thrives when you don’t ask. But the moment you start asking? You might just find yourself on the path to real health.

And that’s a problem, isn’t it?

What do you think?
