Artist Spotlight 🌟 Elizabeth Lepock, soprano

A versatile Canadian soprano, Elizabeth Lepock is celebrated for her expressive vocal range and dynamic stage presence. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and has performed in operatic, concert, and recital settings. Known for her clear tone and emotional depth, she excels across a wide repertoire, from classical opera to contemporary works.

Elizabeth is no stranger to Spiritus Ensemble, and we hope you’ll join us on November 23rd to hear her captivating voice!

Artist Spotlight 🌟 Zachery Vander Meulen, tenor

Zachery has been singing and teaching internationally for a number of years. He began his studies in Canada with a Bachelor of Music from Wilfrid Laurier University, then completed his Master’s of Opera with the Dutch National Opera Academy in Amsterdam and The Hague. Zachery sang on the operatic stage for a number of years before heading back to Canada in December 2020. Upon arriving back in Canada, he completed his Bachelor of Education at Queen’s University and is currently teaching in the Waterloo Region District School Board.

We are so excited to have Zachery join us as one of our Messiah soloists!

Artist Spotlight 🌟 Jennifer Enns Modolo, mezzo-soprano

Canadian mezzo-soprano Jennifer Enns Modolo has delighted audiences across the country with her clear, unaffected voice and meaningful singing. As an accomplished concert soloist, and with a repertoire that ranges from early music to contemporary, she performs regularly with ensembles throughout Ontario and across Canada including the Bach Elgar Choir, the Grand Philharmonic Choir, the Nota Bene Period Orchestra, and Spiritus Ensemble. She is also a member of the Hamilton-based ensemble Capella Intima, which specializes in performing exciting concerts of lesser-known 17th-century vocal and operatic music. In addition to performing with large and small ensembles, Jennifer also delights in the art of the solo recital and collaborates frequently with lutenist Magdalena Tomsinska. When she is not performing, Jennifer teaches full-time as an elementary school music educator.

We are so privileged to have Jennifer join us as a soloist at our upcoming performance of Handel’s Messiah!
