We're hosting our first-ever Rain Barrel Fundraiser🌧️
You asked, and we listened! We've heard that you want to harvest rainwater, but sourcing rain barrels locally has been a challenge. So, in partnership with Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region(EAFWR), we're bringing them to you through RainBarrel.ca!

💧 EAFWR's Working Adults Learning Empowering Skills (WALES) group’s new community garden
💧 Reep's Rain Smart Neighbourhood program in Kitchener to help residents harvest rainwater, and protect our creeks, rivers and ponds from runoff pollution

Each rain barrel includes a leaf & mosquito filter basket, spigot, overflow adaptor, and an overflow hose. There are also other materials available for purchase, including high quality composters, and downspout diverters.

Here’s what you need to know:
✅ Maximum 5 bushels (175 litres) per household
✅ Bring your own shovel and containers
✅ Wear closed toed shoes

Here's a fun spring activity: Enjoy the outdoors while helping to take care of a local park for Earth Day!
Organizing a litter cleanup is easy. You just have to gather your friends, family or coworkers, and we'll provide the supplies, tips and help you dispose of the collected litter.
Or, you can choose to join the city-led cleanup in Waterloo Park on April 25.
If you want to do even more, you can also sign up for one-time or ongoing park projects, like planting a pollinator garden or helping to mulch local trails.

Celebrate Earth Month 🌏with us by cleaning up Wilson Park!
On April 18th at 10 a.m., meet Reep Green at Kingsdale Community Centre before heading to the park to collect litter, learn about local trees, plants and birds, and win some prizes!
Bring your family, friends, water and appropriate clothes🥾🧢, and we'll provide the cleanup supplies🧤 and refreshments.
