Seedy Saturday is a vibrant community event that celebrates sustainable gardening, local food systems, and environmental stewardship. Hosted by Yorklands Green Hub in partnership with the Guelph Seed Library, the event brings together gardeners, seed savers, environmental advocates, and local businesses for a day of learning, sharing, and networking. Participants can exchange seeds, attend workshops on topics like pollinator-friendly gardening and urban agriculture, and browse exhibits featuring gardening tools, native plants, and eco-friendly products. Seedy Saturday fosters a deeper connection to nature and supports initiatives that promote biodiversity, sustainable food practices, and community engagement.
