Being an influencer IS a responsibility, after all, especially right now.

That post, made by someone I had imagined understood that he should not be claiming this victory is in any bag. And that alarmed me given what had happened to Hilary in 2016. THAT concern is why I am posting the following message:

My response to that stream on Facebook, from his initial post claiming again and again that Kamala was definitely going to win, after a debate where I was not the only one on that thread concerned that this American FB influencer was trying to say this election has already been won by Harris: both myself and the 2 others pointed out that is not at all necessarily true. Don’t ever think it! that’s exactly how Hilary lost: arrogance & assuming that she was going to win. This US election cannot be lost to Trump & I will speak out against anyone trying to claim victory for Kamala before November 6th. (End of day on 5th) it’s not over until it is over, FULL STOP. Please share this message if you care, my American friends, about saving your Democracy. That’s what’s on your BALLOT.

Vote. Vote Kamala. Throwing your vote or not voting - that’s a vote for Trump. Doing what that individual above did is throwing possibly a great many votes by promoting complacency. If other influencers followed suit: a loss to Trump would be at least partially on their heads. There is a LOT of influencing time left - 10.5 weeks.

(My position)

I do not see any interest for the fighting to stop on the part of the leadership of Hamas/ or the opposing leadership (Israelis). They each want all power or nothing - both sides. I abhor Netanyahu. But both sides are to blame for this ongoing conflict - and the killing. Netanyahu must be convicted, yes, of war crimes. If Trump wins this election by his chicanery [and there will be all kinds of illegal activity & misinformation by he, Vance & the wealth behind them, & their MAGA supporters], NOTHING will ever be done to hold Netanyahu nor his government, responsible for what they have done, or will do.

The AMerican election MUST be won by the Democrats to have any kind of positive impact on future outcomes there. But the damage is already done: the hatred that was there already (both sides) is now going to be "trumped" upon for all manner of anti-Semitism around the globe. The leadership on both sides is entirely to blame for this for fomenting hatreds there for more than a century. BOTH are to blame. And leadership is always to blame for ongoing war. It is not as though the Palestinians were not offered peace deals....they were and they refused them. That does not mean I in any way that I approve of the killing in Gaza: it is utterly appalling.

But it is also true that Hamas had no interest in protecting Palestinians from this war: they wanted this war to foment hatred of Jews around the world. They never have wanted peace: they wanted ONLY control of the entire region. After the Holocaust, that is something the Jewish people will never relinquish: their own right to ONE country in the world ....How do you think you got your own (asking this American influencer) country ? You took control of it from another people just as we Canadians did also.

There is never going to be peace in the Middle East - not in our lifetimes - not after this. Yahu has ensured that for decades now - if Iran & Hamas (etc) were not willing for all this time to negotiate in good faith for real peace, do you think that could happen now? And that is why negotiations have been largely useless so far. Neither side has any real interest in stopping this war. Yahu, Iran, Hamas, Hezhollah. No one over there but those under direct fire in the entire country, Gaza included. it is a disaster decades in the making caused by irresponsibility in the leadership on both sides. And other players, like Iran, have played a terrible coercing role in fomenting children to hatred.

My final post in a discussion where my view was that pressuring KHarris in her campaign to make promises about the Middle East or the Gaza nightmare was simply foolish. Promises of a ceasefire is not politically in line with what is actually possible there in terms of the power the US has in those negotiations. This is my point.

If, R K , you make claims about the Democratic Party which make it obvious your scorn for them - and you have really a 2 party (real) system - in a year where your Democracy IS at stake and in particular the freedom of women’s basic Constitutional rights, I will choose to point out that either you are simply trying to help Trump win, or you plan to vote for him or you plan not to vote or throw your vote away on a minor candidate with no hope of winning. Not voting at all, or voting for other than Kamala is in this election an absolute vote for Trump. That is fact. So is encouraging Americans to be complacent about their vote or imagine they can negotiate over that issue in their vote.

the problems in Israel are SO deeply embedded in hatred (Gaza). To effect a ceasefire AND bring home 109 hostages from 23 countries (much as everyone very much wants that to happen, obviously), as hard as President Biden and Vice President Harris are pushing to try to have that happen, this is almost impossible. And for many reasons. the result of their efforts is not, (whatever occurs) in my opinion, (as it seems to be in yours from your posts) a litmus test for the effectiveness nor the morality (good as opposed to evil if Democrat leadership should fail in this ceasefire quest) of the Democrats, not a failure of their party. And that was my main point.

No amount of talk at the DNC (Convention) by angry protestors (inside) (had that occurred) was going to effect a Ceasefire nor stop the violence in Gaza. Those matters are entirely in the hands of bad actors on both (opposing sides there on the ground. )
Meanwhile any innocent & informed people on both sides are aware of that, aware of the bad actors on both sides, yet they cannot be heard in a War ZONE - those innocents. Their voices are drowned out in the melee. Just as my voice last night in attempting to warn of arrogance being a true danger right now and dogmatism also a danger- to mistakenly understand the US power dynamic in that geopolitical situation. To exaggerate it.

I pointed out that Egypt too has a voice in those talks due to their policies in the Philadephi Corridor- & they have made clear they have NO intention of budging. But like the IDF, Even the USA would never agree to trucks or vehicles passing a Canadian or Mexican border crossing into the USA without the legal ability for inspections (as the Israeli gov insists at that Egyptian border - and all Israeli borders - and they would be truly foolish to not insist on this when they are surrounded as they are.) Even here that would never fly, to drop inspections or leave it only to Canadians or Mexicans to conduct inspections. Not happening - & we all know why.

So. with things like that also on the ceasefire bargaining table, it is foolish to predicate the failing of your Democracy (risking a Trump victory) by any act of sabotage (careless, overconfident words) when by the Egyptian border factor alone & rigid actors on both sides of leadership (I am excluding US and any other mediating countries), a Ceasefire may be highly unlikely - especially before the election. We all know who Yahu favors! I would be delighted to be wrong on that score. But Yahu obviously wants Trump to win. threatening to throw your vote based on what YOU think would bring about a ceasefire or an end to the war in Gaza, is not going to do anything but perhaps give Trump an edge. Because he will use that false claim AS his edge. As he does every chance he gets - make false claims / misinformation.

It is totally okay to call HIM a felon because he IS and he denies it. He has never taken any responsibility for his many crimes, and he may go to his grave without serving one hour in jail. He needs reminding that he is a felon.

Therefore, with Democracy on the line, I would not bargain my entire political system over that issue: GAZA. if someone is ragging on democrats over the issue (as was the case with this person) or attempting to enforce a public stance by JB/KH in extremely delicate talks (situation) - & claiming one’s vote depends on that - this is entirely foolish. I DO believe they are trying their best to resolve it - The Biden admin. But the US does not control those Ceasefire talks. They can influence & very likely the US influence has been the REAL reason Bibi has restrained himself from doing what he would like to do & has the firepower to do. Without the US: Flatten Gaza with no care to move people. Kill absolutely indiscriminately. Flatten Gaza. In essence, any American money sent to Israel is to ensure the Americans have some stake in the Middle East / some skin in that game to keep the entire area blowing into a wider war. Causing absolute havoc in markets & many more deaths.

It is best then to ensure that Americans vote, & try to understand geopolitical situations more fully - in context. It is not so simple.

But I ask - Ukraine has more deaths now by a substantial lead over Gaza (per month if averaged out - their deaths). For no provocation given to Russia. Sudan? People are still starving in Yemen. Do these people not matter? would you throw your Democracy away for them; refuse to stand against Fascism within own country based on your idea that YOUR leaders can resolve every single conflict, on demand? When they want to? Is it not true that their (US) involvement geopolitically is intended to stop bigger wars that would affect the world economy?. That would destroy their allies? that is why world peace matters and WHY diplomats work to maintain relations / talks/ make peace deals. The kind of deal Trump would make would not involve saving ANY Palestinian lives nor Ukrainian lives. Because he is exactly the same kind of human as a Putin or a Netanyahu or a Khomeini. They don’t see people as people: all are sociopaths with Zero empathy & a narcissistic, fanatical desire/drive to be dictators.

I want the War in Gaza to end. Yes.
But there is a war here (in America) already to be fought & won.

Maybe you have not noticed but Trump has been waging a Fascist war on the American consciousness for almost a decade. Stop fighting among yourselves over an issue that has been fomented by both sides now for a 100 (and thousands before that) years. Geopolitically, the US is doing what it can.
Bitterness has now become embedded, both sides. .

Don’t allow that long & bitter loss in another country prevent you, my American friends, From voting your conscience on November 5th - or better yet well in advance of Election Day. Ensure you are registered - now (games are being played).

Vote in advance if you can.

You can still decide to better understand what’s happening in Gaza & all of Israel & work as you can to help ease suffering. But remember this: Gazans voted in Hamas in 2006. 18 years later this is where they are: Gaza is finished. They knew Hamas wanted total control - total destruction. So Where will America be in 18 years if Americans were ever to allow Trump to take power thru foolish arrogance - you are IN a war. Please don’t forget it. 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for reading. Please let’s listen to one another. I lived in the Middle East for 6 years. I am still learning; but we have little chance of impacting when or if there will be a ceasefire.

Keep vigilant for false information AND for arrogance that will cause Americans to become too complacent or upset about things they (Democrats ) cannot control.

Do please VOTE 🤛 it is your Democracy to claim. And every American woman should understand this war is definitely an up close and personal threat to her health, and well being. Project 2025 is a war cry against America.
