Independent Living Waterloo Region has served the community for more than 40 years. Its vision is an inclusive community where those with disabilities are supported to live independently and thrive.
Their Community Resource program received support through WRCF’s Community Grants and two WRCF Fundholders.

Did you know? Mental health has worsened in Waterloo Region compared to Canada as a whole since the pandemic.
Data from the 2021 Canadian Housing Survey shows that 22% of participants reported fair or poor mental health, 5 percentage points higher than the national average of 17%.
