On Monday, September 21 , we had the pleasure of visiting the City of Kitchener and meeting with the Mayor and his team to discuss the latest updates on our Home Begins Here project.

Housing is one of the most pressing needs in our community. By investing in affordable housing, we are helping make the Waterloo Region part of the solution to this growing challenge.

The 34-unit transitional affordable housing development in Kitchener will provide a safe, stable, and welcoming place for vulnerable families as they rebuild their lives and work toward long-term housing stability. This project will not only create homes but also help reduce the social and financial costs associated with housing insecurity.

We are grateful for the City's ongoing partnership and commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive community for all.

What an incredible evening at Reception House's Annual General Meeting!
As we reflected on the past year, we celebrated more than numbers and milestones. We celebrated families finding safety, newcomers building new lives, children thriving in their new schools, and communities opening their hearts to welcome those seeking a fresh start.
None of this would be possible without our dedicated staff, volunteers, board members, donors, community partners, and supporters who believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to belong.
Together, we are transforming lives, strengthening our community, and creating a future where every newcomer feels welcomed, valued, and empowered.
