Last week, Rumila and Lotus had the opportunity to visit the Roast Summit by Roast Magazine in Schaumburg, Illinois! Here they are with Mike Ebert from Firedancer Coffee Consultants, one of many friends (both old and new!) from the show. If you're ever able to make it, their next is in Portland in October, we highly recommend!

At long last our new mini roasters are now up and running! These miniature versions of Maddy and Milly (our larger workhorse roasters) are great for smaller batches and giving our members more options, and we couldn't be more excited! What do you think we should name them?

We've had some amazing importer events the last couple of weeks and up next is Green Haven Imports! Collective Members and nearby roasters are invited to join us on May 22nd for an enlightening experience that combines sensory exploration with a little insight from those on the ground. Together, we'll celebrate the resilience and diversity of Nicaraguan coffees and the people who bring them to life.

Today we're highlighting one of our Roaster Members, Coffee Barn!

Their family-run specialty coffee business began in the backyard barn, where they first started roasting green beans in a popcorn maker, driven by curiosity and a love for great coffee. In 2017, The Coffee Barn was officially born. Since then, the mission has remained the same: to help people discover truly great coffee, every day.
