Give yourself permission
Self-care is an essential aspect of our well-being. It is often seen as a negative act rather than a necessity. I believe it is time for us to fully embrace self-care and incorporate it into our weekly routines, making it a priority rather than something we only do when we have extra time.
If we don't take care of ourselves, we cannot show up fully for others.
Be an example for others and choose to prioritize yourself today!

Hello to my followers, both new and old.
I haven’t introduced myself in quite some time, so here goes.
My name is Jo Anne, and I offer a variety of modalities in my classes to support women experiencing any kind of loss.
During COVID, I experienced a great deal of loss. I left Canada for two and a half years, giving myself space to travel, grieve, study, and spend time in retreats that supported my healing.
When I returned to Canada, I was ready to plant roots again and begin sharing everything I had learned along the way.
Today, I weave together classical yoga, Grief Yoga, healing dance, Reiki, and Indian Head Massage to support my students on their own journeys.
I am thrilled to be offering regular classes and grateful to be slowly building a community of wonderful women. My classes are not always easy to explain because they are more than a yoga class. They are an invitation to connect with your breath, explore movement and sound, release what no longer serves you, and rediscover hope, self-compassion, and the courage to move forward.
Over the years, I have done a great deal of self-reflection and healing. Not because I was broken, but because I was learning how to step more fully into who I truly am.
One of my greatest joys is holding space for others as they navigate their own journeys and giving them permission to slow down, receive, and practice self-care.
If you have not yet attended one of my classes, I hope our paths cross one day if my offerings resonate with you.
