The best way to learn about anything (agents) is by creating one. So, I started with something very simple to build, yet solves/automates a monotonous task for me (formatting tables for research papers).

To solve that, I built Agent Latex (very basic), a small agentic pipeline that turns plain text data or existing LaTeX tables (incorrect) into polished, corrected, publication-ready tables. It chains multiple agents router, formatter, auditor, and refiner to decide what your input needs and applies only the necessary fixes. It identifies issues in your LaTeX/plain table (and also lets you know about them), and the agent flags them before refinement. Finally, you get the polished latex table.

Thank you all for the overwhelming support for auto_scholar. It’s been amazing to see the response to this tiny automation tool. To make this tool more personalized, I’ve added a few new features:

1. You can now tag your publications with “Best Paper,” "Best Poster,” “Best Presentation,” “Honorable Mention,” or any other badges by updating/adding the package’s awards.json. Every time you run auto_scholar, it mines your latest Google Scholar data and automatically applies those tags wherever the titles match. Examples and instructions are in the GitHub repo.

I was updating my personal webpage and found that adding publications one by one is a tiresome task. I explored tools like BibBase, but they require a .bib file, also wasn't sure if it's going to update over time automatically or not on the free plan.

To solve this, I made auto_scholar. It's a simple tool that just needs your Google Scholar ID and name to automatically generate a complete publication webpage for you. This can be added in the CI/CD pipeline too (hope it doesn't get blocked; need to check), allowing it to run automatically (e.g., once a month) to keep your publication list effortlessly up-to-date. The image I shared is automatically generated by the tool.

Features:
1. Automatically highlights your name within the author list.
2. Generate “Copy BibTeX” buttons for quick citation grab.
3. Extracts the direct publication link for each paper.
4. Automatically group publications into journal and conference sections, sorted by year.
