Imagine a world where civic conversations include the voices of all species. One where we hear from Chickadee, Toad, Swamp Milkweed, Bumble Bee, Water, and Mycobacterium vaccae.

Julie Salter-Keane, Manager of Climate Leadership for the City of Kingston, is responsible for delivering the Biodiversity Action Plan. She's also a member of Kingston Climate Partnership's (KCP) Biodiversity Working Group. As a working group, one of the projects we chose to deliver on in 2026 are more-than-human workshops.

Our first workshop will be held at the Kingston Climate Summit. In small groups, with the support of kin cards, you become one of the kin with whom we share our city. Speaking from the perspective of the species they're representing, each group prepares a brief for the City's Biodiversity Action Plan .

When: June 4, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
