The past and future of Providence in the Limestone City by Jess Foley - Writer Kingstonians are surely familiar with the word "providence" - Providence Care, Providence Village, the Sisters of Providence. New year, new me = less time scrolling and more time reading, puzzling, and gaming. (Board games, that is.)

I've finished two books already this year (one I started in Dec), and we've done one puzzle. Swipe to see our new game, which we love, but is so challenging!

New tier unlocked: Oldest is at work, husband had to go do IT work at a hotel, and youngest is sleeping. It's 7:45 am and I'm having a cuppa ☕ and relaxing by the tree. 🎄

I hope you can enjoy these next few days when we're never quite sure what day it actually is!

Guys, my holiday season feels like it's almost over. And we're still a week away from the big day.

I've been to one work party, with another Monday, and I'm hosting a family Christmas dinner on Saturday. (My parents are doing "the day" with my sister in Ottawa, so we're going to gather early.)

The thing about is that my eldest is working Christmas morning, so I'm looking forward to a quieter Christmas Day, with our big meal being brunch when she's done. (She works breakfast at a hotel.)

Anyone else out there having a different kind of holiday this year?

We took the tour (awesome), stopped by the red light district (worth a visit at night), ate some giant and of course saw some more !

Went to bed early but couldn't sleep in today. Wish us luck with our Thanksgiving weekend festivities!

Our first few days in Amsterdam have been a whirlwind of cybersecurity conference (Patrick) and filling my days (between meals at the conference) with and (and - is no joke!!)

It's been rainy and very grey, but the sun did come out today. Besides a little cropping, these photos are unedited. Some are darker than I'd like, but they are very representative of my last two days!

Just a few flowers tonight. It's darn warm and humid. I didn't walk the waterfront tonight, but still saw tons of people and lots of lovely flora and fauna.

(I did see bunnies, but they weren't on the same walkway as I was.)

First Tuesday walk of the season and I'm still sweating in a tank top and shorts. And, everyone was outside. EVERYONE.

As it got darker (and harder for me to scavenge seeds from roadside gardens) I got to walk alongside a little bunny. (See photographic evidence.) I also walked past Rob Baker walking dogs. (No photographic evidence of that.)

Might have been downtown at time last night...
