3 sisters 🫶🏻 artists, storytellers and the hands behind Commanda Collective

New Roots marks a new chapter for us as artists, as sisters, and as a collective. It speaks to where we’ve come from, what we’ve outgrown, and what we’re ready to nurture now.

Timed with the launch of our new website and a renewed evolution of our brand, this collection is both a return to our essence and a step toward who we’re becoming.

Each design holds a quiet story: the warmth of memory, the tenderness of something new. Some are subtle, like the first green shoots after winter. Others are bold, like roots breaking through the soil. All are crafted with care and deep intention.

The colour palette is drawn from the land itself—cedar green, glacial blue, sunset ochre, and the golden glow of firelight. Some pieces feel ceremonial. Others are made for everyday grounding. Each one belongs to the same unfolding narrative.

We named it New Roots because that’s what this season feels like. Not a reinvention. Not an uprooting. But a deeper planting. A conscious return to what sustains us, and a gentle commitment to growing—slowly, intentionally, and in right relation.

Chi miigwech to everyone who supported our recent sale. You will notice our linktree is gone and our website is not in service. For us, it felt important to move away from the Shopify platform given their recent decisions and ideologies.
