We are sorry to say that the Groundhog Day event at Shubenacadie Wildlife Park is cancelled due to the forecast for blowing snow which could create unsafe driving conditions for people traveling to the park. Shubenacadie Sam is staying in the burrow and will not see a shadow, which – according to folklore – means an early spring.

As we step into a new year, we pause to reflect on the one behind us.

This past year held moments of joy, challenge, loss, and resilience. Through it all, our residents continued to show strength, grace, and wisdom. Our staff showed up day after day with compassion and dedication, and our families and community placed their trust in us—something we never take lightly.
