Today is day one of our new series entitled “once a month (or more, if we feel like it) we make a first come, first served, special treat that will knock your GD socks off!” (We’re still workshopping the name 🤷.)
You might want to double or even triple up on socks for today’s treat, because it’s that good.

These are called (hold on, let me grab my beret)
Paris-Brest. (Imagine the rest of this description in a French accent) Choux paste, hazelnut praline, mousseline cream, toasted almonds powdered sugar, ze are delicious! Like…seriously.
We are here until 3 today, and then we are closed for a beat to watch the grads strut their stuff, then back 4:00-5:00.

Hey there my sweetest best friends! (FYI, I call my chihuahua niece ( ‘s daughter) my sweetest best friend and that turned into my sweetest girlfriend -> my Swedish girlfriend -> the Swedish chef -> yes chef = Lip Gallagher ( ) an obvious progression!)

Annnnyways… just wanted to pop on and remind you guys that we looked like this six and a half ish years ago. Mere children! In this picture we were celebrating having real cake boxes for the first time. Before that we were buying Bristol board from the dollar store and crafting our own (which, in retrospect, was pure lunacy!) We had about 5 chocolate bar flavours, and we were turning out 6 cakes a week. We’ve come a long way babybee!

We are in the shop today looking exactly six and a half years older than this (some of us looking considerably gayer, and some of us looking a lot more than six and a half years older than this (wild guesses on who’s who,)) until five today and we think that you should come be here too.

Ohh la la! Meet Gertrude (yes, this ornamental gumball machine has a name,) she’s a beautiful artistic creation who requires your admiration. .with.freddy.mercury really knocked it out of the park with this one. It’s almost like she knows what I like!

Dads & grads! DADS AND GRADS! 🎶 DAAAADS AND GRAAAADS!
Guys, it’s almost dads and grads weekend. That special time of year when the stars align and we all raise our hands to the sky and scream in celebration of our dads and of our grads. We thought that maybe this year, whilst raising those hands to the sky in celebration, you could all be double fi***ng themed chocolate bars!!! Does your dad like golf? We’ve got a bar for that! Camping, fishing? We’ve got a bar for that! Young person, reaching an educational milestone? WE’VE GOT A BAR FOR THAT! That’s it though, no other bars for that. Just the three, but they are lovely and timely as hell!

Good afternoon, my cumulonimbus cuties!
What do you think it would be like to have been born as a pistachio? Are they crafted in their shells? Are there shells naturally split like that? Do they yearn for human blood and that’s why I sometimes pinch my tongue if I’m eating too quickly? Do they prefer being salted? Does it hurt when you crack them open? Is there a collection of all human knowledge at my finger tips that I could use to answer these hard hitting questions? 🤷
“What I know for sure” ( reference, where are my elder millennials who watched Oprah afterschool?!?) is that pistachios LOVE LOVE LOVE to be turned into pudding, piped into chocolate mousse, and fed to YOU! I know it in my heart of hearts! So give the pistachios what they want. Before they turn on us 😱

Hey my babies,
These are our hours, in case you were curious. Sometimes we open on Sundays for a few hours if we feel like it. Sometimes I’m here later than 5. During the summer we might be open more. Sometimes we close early if it’s gross outside or if we’re sad. Sometimes it’s just a close early kinda day. Next Wednesday (May 27th) we will be closed for GIRLS TRIP.
