**Autism Unplugged Learning Centre is currently looking for student volunteers!**

Are you in Grade 10, 11, or 12 and looking to complete your community service hours?

This is a great opportunity to gain meaningful experience, build responsibility, develop confidence, and be part of a caring, inclusive environment that supports children and youth in our community.

Student volunteers may help with things like organizing materials, preparing activities, assisting with special events, helping set up and clean up, supporting fundraising initiatives, and creating a welcoming environment for our learners and families.

We are looking for local students who are kind, dependable, mature, and interested in gaining experience in the field while making a positive difference in their community.

Interested students are encouraged to send a resume or brief volunteer inquiry to Autism Unplugged Learning Centre.

✨ Every day brings a small miracle. ✨

Today is one of those moments worth celebrating.

One of our learners used a short sentence to independently request something they wanted.

It may seem like a simple moment, but for many children, putting words together to communicate a need or want is a huge milestone. These are the building blocks of independence, self-advocacy, and meaningful connections with others.

Progress isn’t always measured in giant leaps. Sometimes it’s just a few words spoken at the right moment.

Today, we celebrate those words. 💙

This is something more families are starting to experience.

Not just in conversation, but in real, day-to-day decisions.

The wait, the uncertainty, and trying to figure out what actually helps in the meantime.

We’re seeing this more often with families in our community. It’s not always clear what the next step should be, and that can feel overwhelming.

What’s often missed is that progress doesn’t have to pause while waiting.

There are meaningful ways to build skills, confidence, and momentum during that time—and that can make a significant difference long-term.

If you’re in that position right now, you’re not alone in it.

We’ve added more context in our bio for anyone who wants to explore further.

If this might be helpful for another family, feel free to pass it along.

We are so excited to share that we have officially selected a winner for our iPad Giveaway 💙

First, thank you.

The number of families who shared their stories, their needs, and how this could support their child was truly incredible. We read every single entry, and it was a powerful reminder of how important access to the right tools really is.

This was never just a giveaway.
It was about getting something meaningful into the hands of a family who truly needs it.

✨ Congratulations to Ozzie ✨
Ozzie is a 3-year-old little boy who is non-verbal and needs a voice.

This iPad will help support communication, connection, and independence — and we are so honoured to be a small part of that journey.

A heartfelt thank you to his grandmother, Tammy Crittenden, who nominated him. She has been contacted.

The winner was selected at random, with witnesses present, and all entries were verified.

This would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community sponsors:
