It's hoarding season around here. With the cold weather setting in, it was a scramble to get as many summer blooms preserved as I could 😍

I feel like I’ve struggled to find exactly where I fit in in the world of makers. Am I a resin artist who creates ocean scenes, a resin artist who preserves flowers and creates special keepsakes, a scroll saw artist who loves to create floral pieces and name signs or an artist who just leads with her hands and follows her heart....

I like to think it’s a little bit of all of those. At the end of the day, I love creating ; making something that never existed before. I have no idea where this journey will take me (other than to my art room and the shop) but I know for sure that I am enjoying the journey. I hope you stick along for the ride!

Let me tell you about this labour of love.

This sign was my first scroll order......I ended up cutting each word at least twice....Both outside and my basement were too humid for spray paint, and I realize now that my blades definitely weren't put in the correct way...Every time I had to message this new Mom that the order was going to be delayed, part of me just wanted to cry, and part of me just wanted to admit defeat and just tell her I couldn't do it. I lucked out and was given nothing but encouragement from her to just keep going.

To most, it just looks like a simple wooden circle with painted names, but to me it's the project that proved to me I could ❤️

The tides have turned and we're sailing directly into Fall. Who else could have used a few more beach days!!?🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

Maybe if I post more Peonies, summer will come back.........

This one was too good to wait until it’s done to post. These zinnias are so vibrant and preserve so well. I’m so happy to have right around the corner and who grows such amazing flowers.

This one will have a wooden frame added to it once the pour is complete. It’s still looking for a forever home!

Like a lot of people, 6 months ago I walked out of my full time job managing a clinic and gym, not knowing when I’d be allowed to return. Pandemic aside, having a side business and being given the time to focus solely on it was a dream. 2 years worth of resin work that I had never posted or done anything with was finally able to get my attention. The thing with side businesses, is that they are typically funded by the first business. I had every intention of this summer being my summer of weddings, but things just never lined up to have that happen.

I decided to invest in myself, expand my skill set and dive into something that complimented my work with flowers and resin. My scroll saw arrived, followed shortly by an 8 week old puppy, news that my partners work 1.5 hours away would be extended, and that I’d be back to work full time within the next 2 weeks...... cue the absolute chaos. Priorities were made, and unfortunately jumping on here didn’t make the cut.

Jump 3 months later, and I have an amazing puppy who is my world, my partner back working 10 minutes from home, work having calmed down AND some pretty decent scrolling skills.

I can now offer wooden flowers in addition to plants, as well as so many more options for customization! I’m so freaking excited!!!

I’m so thankful you all are still following along and can’t wait to show you what I’ve been up to.

Most of you started following me and then I dropped off the face of the earth. Life went from 0 to 60 for me in the matter of a few days and this business had to take the back burner..... such is life.....

I do however, have an exciting announcement coming tomorrow and a giveaway I’ll be launching next week!
