Moon In June Studio

Beyond thankful for 10 amazing years in this perfect Lakeside studio!!! Time absolutely flies. I thought I'd be so sad to pack up, but I'm way too full of gratitude, and excitement for my next life chapter!

I'll share about my new little home studio once it's set up, but that probably won't be for a little while. I already can't wait to make more mugs for you. I'm certain that motherhood will lead me to a whole new spring of creativity ✨

I'm becoming the full Moon In June!!! Baby due June 11th ✨

I'm currently finishing my last batches of work orders & student work, slowly dismantling the studio and generally preparing for maternity leave.

I will reopen my business post mat leave (length undecided) in a small home studio, however, my offerings may look a little different due to space restrictions. No more in studio workshops or parties, but I do plan to continue offering: to travel for events, one-on-one lessons, and take home pottery kits. Basically whatever I still have capacity for on the other side.

I'm very excited for this new phase of my journey! I'll share updates as things solidify into their new form. I do plan to continue limiting my use of social media over the next while, so email will be the best way to get in touch, if needed.

Hello Everyone, this is a big news post that I've been putting off forever because it comes with a lot of big feels.

As of May, 2026, Moon In June Studio, as we know it, will be closing. New ownership of the building, along with some big personal life changes, mean that this beautiful, decade-long chapter, is coming to an end. I'll share more details about this transition as it develops.

Words cannot express (*Cue the sobbing* lol 😭) how grateful I am to each and every one of you who has ever interacted with Moon In June - whether you've taken a class or workshop with me, invited me to teach in your community, purchased a mug, or liked one of my posts... - thank you so much. I'm profoundly lucky to have been able to live and share this dream with all of you.

I'll end this post with a little message about how the moon never stays the same, and just because it goes dark for a while doesn't mean it will be gone forever...

The Local Clay Mug

Unfortunately these are very limited edition, the first of their kind, made using clay sourced from the very shores of our beloved Kenora region lakes. I'll have 3 Lake of the Woods mugs and 1 Longbow Lake mug at the Winter Solstice Market tomorrow. Available on a First come basis.

I can't tell you how excited I am to be offering these special pieces, hopefully the first of many local clay mugs I'll produce in the future

(Sorry there aren't more!!! I lost 4 to fatal drying cracks, decided to keep one for myself and am giving one to the person I got the LOTW clay from 🙂)

✨ Aurora Mugs ✨

These were way-too-melty moon mugs that turned into an entire glittering sky scape! These sat on the workbench for about 6 months until I had a sudden spark of inspiration. This is the result! Happy accidents for the win! Featuring smoothly crackled icepond thumb rests. This mug captures the essence of winter magic in the North.
