Building literacy every day is easy with these autumnal early literacy activities, just in time for Halloween.

Tools that build early literacy can be found in the most unexpected places⁠—such as a ball of modelling clay or playdough. Help your child learn through play with these fun playdough-based activities designed to develop skills important to later literacy success.

One of the crucial elements of building early literacy skills is everyday conversation. Talking with your child helps build language and vocabulary skills. Asking questions while reading, talking about the pictures, or even just reading signs when out for walks are great ways to talk with your child.
