On our way home from Agility regionals, I stopped to see previous Stay & Train Freya and Foster Chase!
Im really proud of both Freyas and Chases owners for putting continued work in!
🐾Freya:
Freya has been doing wonderful without any resource guarding instances with her sister, she’s also been holding up her skills very well! Freya easily anticipates, especially when going to do exciting things and picks up patterns quickly though so we did a refresher on how to prevent that from continuing, how to utilize windows are implementing a lot more tug!
We also discussed more about how to rebuild Freya and Cyris relationship while making sure they don’t continue to feed into each other.
Her mom has been doing great at relearning to trust Freya and following through with the rules and expectations set!
🐾Chase:
Chase has been doing so well with his new parents! He’s continued to be a well rounded boy with great obedience which is a thanks to his parents for following through, maintaining off leash rules and clear boundaries within the home! He’s truly living his best life and is maturing into the best boy!
A few weeks into being home he did begin to stress out in his crate for a couple reasons but his parents stuck through and kept me updated and now he’s back to doing super well in his home and in another place he goes during his parents long work days!

Whether you’re dealing with reactivity, aggression, resource guarding, anxiety or other behavioural challenges, those behaviours don’t have to become your dog’s identity.
No matter your dog’s age or history, change is possible when you have the right guidance and are willing to put in the work.
If you’re ready for less stress, less micromanaging, a stronger bond and real lasting results, let’s chat.

Miss valley goes home from her 4 week Stay & Train program tomorrow!
I’m so proud of how far she has come!
She came into the program easily over aroused leading to reactivity and impulsively acting out towards dogs, people and kids. She would react and aggress forward when startled towards people in the home. She struggled with settling especially in busy environments
But she is going home fully off leash reliable, with a heel and down command, she’s able to regulate herself, make better choices, become curious and open up instead of more nervous and shut down, she is no longer barking at everything possible and has learned to open up to new people and kids.
She’s a nervy girl by heart but she’s grown so much and her personality has shined greatly!

Whiskey is up for adoption 🐾
His future adopters must participate in training sessions before and after he goes home, setting everyone up for long-term success.
He is 5 years old, neutered male, UTD on vaccines
Why whiskey is amazing:
• Fully off-leash trained and reliable in a variety of environments
• Neutral to people, dogs, and distractions unless given permission to “go say hi”
• Crate trained and quiet
• Does great with handling and nail trims
• Walks great on leash and as a heel command
• Loves very hard and is a big cuddle bug
• Can be independent and settles well
• Can do a distance down off-leash
• Sassy and fun personality
• Food and toy motivated and loves to work
• Enjoys hiking and exploring on and off leash
• Super adaptable to any environment
• Would be a great sport dog buddy (has participated in fast cat and agility in his past)
Whiskeys quirks:
• Dog-neutral and friendly, he can get a over aroused with dogs and herding instincts can chime in, however this is under control and he’s able to regulate himself better in those moments
• Has a past of resource guarding, he has not escalated since being with me, he is patient and fair however if living with another dog in the home, boundaries are important (just as with any dog)
• He has that spunky corgi personality
Before applying for Whiskey:
• Adopters must be committed to participating in lessons and learning about whiskeys needs
• If the adopter has a dog already, they must be willing to put forth an effort to build a relationship with their current dog and Whiskey. (He does live wonderfully with other dogs and would appreciate a buddy)
Please DM me if you are interested in adding Whiskey to your family!

We love our shepherds🐕
Just under 3 years ago clover and I had our first agility class, she was scared of the tunnel, many classes were cut short because something would spook her and she would shut down and not take food or anything.
Now she’s the most resilient girl I know and nothing knocks her down!
We head to agility regionals in 2 weeks, this will be our second time going and competing and I’m excited to do this with her again!
I never thought that agility would become such a huge part of our life and help clover in so many ways.
We have grown a lot as a team, our relationship has never been better and every time I am out there with her doing something she wholeheartedly loves and always gives her all is something so special to me.
We got 2 masters jumpers Qs today, only our second time trialing in masters. It’s been a journey, one that continues to push me out of my comfort zone and test us but I’m so grateful for everything.
A huge thank you to my coach Lana at Caerbannog agility who’s been a huge part of our growth in agility!
