When people call you an animal abuser because you haven’t halter or foot broke your feral horse.

Meanwhile we’ve spent hundreds of hours quietly making friends with this feral horse. This horse was badly/hard roped at some point in her round up, leading to a lot of muscle damage and a complete lack of trust of humans.

So instead of focusing on training, we focused on trust.

This is us today. Also we had a little equine anatomy lesson with Cypress showing me which parts of her he can pet, and me naming the parts he touched. She is a completely different animal than she was a few years ago.

I think with this level of trust and love built over time, the training will come very easily moving forward in our Wildie girls next steps.

My ten day out, freshly neutered dog just got loose, barreled across the yard (cone and all), came across his little brother (Cake Pop) trying to hump the biggest farm dog (he can’t reach) and without slowing down, slammed his brother right off of her, while immediately resuming the hu***ng is Cake Pops place.

“Keep them calm and quiet for 14 days” surgical instructions say 😭😭😭🫡

Willow was naughty until Ryker told her to sit on the chair. She didn’t move a muscle for the next 15 mins. I was pretty proud. She’s learning, albeit at her own frustrating pace!

Maybe our local ice cream shop should put a pup cup on the menu lol 🫶🏼

It’s amazing how life tends to come full circle. I feel SO BLESSED every year, as our life builds and grows our own version of stability in a rapidly changing world. I feel blessed to look back at struggling to make a meal, to raising the animals I’m serving to my family in our homemade meals.

I feel especially blessed for amazing clients facilitating my growing cleaning business. Some have been using my help for years, and stood by me as I put myself through university and grew into a mother of 3. So many new wonderful clients that I’ve enjoyed working with, and have learned from and grown with. All of you help me put food on our table and I’m so thankful for your support.

I feel extra blessed for the stunning flock/herd/pack of critters I love so very much. I’m thankful for their health, abundance, and the folks who have supported or shared this journey in any way. I could have grown my knowledge with such extent if it hadn’t been for amazing other farmers who offered their valuable time and expertise to me for nothing.

I feel so very deeply thankful for being given the amazing gift of raising these 3 boys. I’m so very blessed. They are so much fun, so exhausting and make me strive to be a better person every day.

I’m also thankful for a stupid body that mostly does what I ask it to do and I’m thankful for the desire to do a little bit of everything! Lol.

I will never stop being shocked by how fast it all goes. I’m doing my best to soak up every moment 🫶🏼💞
