My name Ana and I want to share my ESL passion and experience with you!

The English language & Canada have found a place in my heart ever since I was a Rotary student in 1992 in Summerland, BC.

My life changed with all the things I lived and learned that year in school with the support of my wonderful host families and new friends. All these people and experiences led me into the education and ESL field.

I have a bachelor’s degree in languages and translation from Brazil, a TESOL certification from Canada and to further continue my passion for teaching, I am currently enrolled in a Master Program of Education in Canada.

I understand it is not always easy to learn a different language because there are personal challenges in this learning process. English being my second language, I am more open and aware of these frustrations we might all encounter. I believe living is learning. I like being called a facilitator more than a teacher because I have developed a very flexible and personalized method to teach ESL. I first interview and assess each student in a very individual way and focus on what the students need help with right away. I then identify their main interests and goals for taking ESL lessons. Finally, I deliver a personalized curriculum where these students will have a surprising learning experience. A learning process where I can add the needs and the material to the interests and the goals will certainly show successful results more easily and quickly too.
