Board of Governors: Azul Billy and Dev Shah
University Senate: Filza Raza, Gandharv Vashisth, Parth Bavishi, and Juliana Hazarika.
TRU Community Trust Board of Directors: Jason Ronsley

We would like to thank you all for your continued support of our vision here at TRU. As your new student representatives it is our mission to follow through with our promises and voicing your concerns.

We would also like to credit Shantanu Gupta for taking our portraits and helping out the coalition in anyway they could. Due to the current situation, we were faced with the challenge of moving our whole campaigning strategy to online. With hard work from the whole team we were able to accomplish it. Thank you to the team and to all our supporters, stay healthy.

We are a group of students running to represent Students in the governing bodies of TRU. Our diverse backgrounds encourage us to look at the interests of all students! Our platform is based on advocating for the following:

1. Fall break:
We will advocate for students to have a reading break in the Fall semester to ensure student mental health;
The fall semester is detrimental to students’ mental health because it does not give them the break they need to rejuvenate and catch up on studies.

2. Indigenization:
Have a conversation on how to introduce and implement more Indigenous education within classrooms and setting the tone by making it requirements. Some examples are land acknowledgements before classes begin and on course outlines, use of Indigenous material, etc.

3. Increase variety of courses offered at TRU:
Promote the need to improve various practical & skill-based courses which have a direct relationship to student success after graduation.

4. Academic Integrity Policy:
Have a lenient policy for students who are not well versed with plagiarism policy and do not have a full understanding of academic integrity.

5. Increased Parking on Campus:
An increased budget and student consultation on Parking Appeals and Advisory Committee to relieve the financial pressure on students.
