𝐎𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟓, 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 — 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧, 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬, 𝟐𝐒𝐋𝐆𝐁𝐓𝐐𝐈+, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐰𝐨-𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 (𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐖𝐆𝟐𝐒+).

Community members are invited to visit the Red Dress installation along the 600 block of Patricia Street — a powerful, community-led display that honours the lives lost and raises awareness of the ongoing call for justice.

The installation will be opened on May 5 at 9:00 AM with a Drum and Song led by local knowledge keeper Matricia Bauer at the corner of Hazel Avenue and Patricia Street. All are welcome to attend.

In Jasper, located along Highway 16, part of what is known as the Highway of Tears — this day holds particular significance. It is an opportunity to reflect, to listen, and to stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities.

We encourage residents and visitors to take time on May 5 to learn, reflect, and honour the lives and families impacted. 🧡
