We have seen an increase in our Bear Population in our National Park and bear sightings the town of Jasper in the past 2 years. Please be cautious if you see bears on the side on the road. Never approach and feed any wildlife. Stay in your vehicles if you’d like to take pictures.

Although bears typically avoid humans, it's important to be when visiting Jasper National Park!

To avoid encounters:

✔️Make lots of noise
✔️Carry bear spray and know how to use it
✔️Watch out for fresh bear signs such as tracks, droppings, or diggings.
✔️ Keep your pets on a leash
✔️ Hike in larger groups of 4+
✔️ If you come across a large dead animal, leave the area immediately and report it to Parks Canada staff.

Lady Aurora gave us a spectacular show to remember tonight. It was magical! We were in awe with it’s vibrant dancing colours! It was so strong that is was visible in front of our home!

The Fire Chief has the authority to issue a fire ban in the Town of Jasper. The Superintendent has the authority to issue a fire ban in Jasper National Park.

The fire ban will help firefighting resources be more readily available where they are needed most and reduce the likelihood of any new human-caused wildfires.

This FIRE BAN includes 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬, including:

• Fires in fire pits (including private backyards)
• Charcoal briquettes
• Outdoor deep fryers
• Tiki torches
• Outdoor wood burning stoves
• The transfer station is no longer accepting any burnable items. All bins are full and unable to be burned during the fire ban.

Propane or Natural Gas BBQ's, propane fire pits, and wood pellet smokers are allowed. Ensure that your propane or natural gas appliance is CSA approved and is shut down after use.

Room #1 has a queen size bed, a small futon bed, ensuite bathroom, wall-mounted TV with cable and Netflix; microwave, keurig coffee maker, half-sized fridge, 2-slice toaster and kettle. Room can sleep between 1-3 persons max. We provide a variety of coffee pods and a selection of teas. Bathrooms are equipped with basic toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, make-up remover, facial wash and hair dryer. Towels are also provided.

Room #2 has a queen bed, a small futon bed in a bedroom; microwave, coffee maker, kettle, half-size fridge, toaster, tableware and cutleries. Good for 1-3 persons max. The private bathroom is just a few steps from the bedroom.

We are located at the corner of Aspen Crescent and Bonhomme Street. Guests have access to a bbq and an outdoor patio where you can soak under the sun and stare at the beautiful rockies!
