A lighter and brighter highlight refresh for this beautiful new client 😊

Going a bit darker but still keeping it low maintenance and a neutral colour pallet. We darkened up the underneath and did this gorgeous chocolatey melt. 👌

A YEAR IN REVIEW 2024

2024 was a good work year for me.

As a stylist I am always meeting people but also losing people along the way.

It’s a profession that is hard on the body, but also on the emotions.
Many moments are shared with the guests in my chair.

Every day that I’m at work I put my whole self in to my clients, whether you’re a new client or a long time client.

I pride myself on my work and take my profession and the health of your hair seriously.

I always strive to give my clients the hair that they want (or think they want) if I am able.
Yes, sometimes I may miss the mark but I will always try to make it right.

I am forever grateful for each and every guest that has or continues to visit my chair, Thank you ❤️

She wanted to switch things up a bit and add some lighter dimension. We’ve changed her hair a few times over the last year so I knew we had to go slow and careful. I was super excited when her hair lifted to the perfect shade and all I had to do was touch up her roots and gloss the rest to even it out.
LOVE the blend, LOVE the colour combination and that SHINE is on point! 👌

My visits with this beautiful soul are always amazing! Her energy just radiates and if you know her then you know exactly what I mean! ❤️
I wanted to get her just a bit brighter for the winter, but slowly working on the warmth she has on the ends of her hair and mitigating any more dryness or damage. Her hair is fine per strand which can make them more fragile and hair health always comes first to me!
We both absolutely loved her brightened up highlights! 🤗

MILK CHOCOLATE MELT
This colour turned out gorgeous and so much healthier looking AND feeling!
Some of you may remember a client that had a run in with blue shampoo that turned her porous blonde hair teal and I did many things to remove it.
This appointment was originally booked to keep her blonde but a few days before her appointment she messaged me saying she was tired of the blonde and sent me a photo looking for more of a chocolate colour.
I said, LETS DO IT!
I did inform her that because her hair was previously damaged and very porous that it may take a couple of appointments to get the colour to hold so I didn’t want to go too dark and have the colour come out looking hallow.
We agreed to give her a slightly darker root and underneath and then this gorgeous milk chocolate melt all around the rest. I used ALL the K18 and Olaplex along with a porosity treatment and deep moisture. You can see the health is coming back to her hair! 🤩

NEW YEAR, NEW HAIR! 💁🏻‍♀️
I get asked quite often:
“who does your hair?!”

The answer is: ME 🙋🏻‍♀️

Usually late at night after I put my boys to bed I’ll get the urge to do my roots or try something new.

Yesterday after dinner it was the
“try something new!”

My boys were busy playing video games with their dad so I decided to jump into the bathroom salon and do up my hair!

I first lightened all the ends on the top half of my head and timed it til it was a light copper colour. Washed and towel dried. I then coloured the bottom section with a dark red-violet and covered with plastic. Working on the top I did a combination of a dark brown-copper and medium red-brown on the roots and mid shaft and melted it into a medium copper-gold on the ends. 👌

I’M IN LOVE with how it turned! I always feel better when my hair is darker. 😂

(For those that don’t know, I’m actually a natural medium blonde😉🤫)

Hello Everyone and Happy New Year!
If you have found me here I am Super excited but also discouraged.

Sadly on December 2nd my personal Facebook Profile, along with Business page “Shear Edge Hair Studio” was completely taken over and suspended.

I tried to get it back but was told that there were too many restrictions it was very unlikely I would ever get anything back.

So I have started this new page. Starting from the bottom up all over again after 17 years of Facebook.
