Raising two young children while leading a rapidly scaling company is incredibly hard. In ways that aren’t always visible. It takes a level of grit that I don’t think is often talked about or fully understood.

When I was growing up, my parents were entrepreneurs, and they worked a lot. I remember how that felt, and it’s something I’ve been very intentional about doing differently with my own kids.

For me, being both a mother and a founder means choosing to be present, even when it’s not the easiest or most conventional path. I’ve had people suggest I should just get a nanny, but that’s not what I want. I want to do the school drop-offs and pick-ups. I want to be there for the small, everyday moments, because I know how quickly this time passes and it’s something you can’t get back.

At the same time, being a founder allows me to show my kids what it looks like to build something from the ground up, to stay committed, and to move through challenges with resilience. I want them to see that you can care deeply about your work and your family, and that success doesn’t have to come at the expense of being present in your own life.

Having kids has also given me a completely different perspective as a founder. It’s made me more focused, more efficient, and clearer on what actually matters. I don’t get pulled into things that aren’t important in the same way anymore.

At the end of the day, I never want to look back and feel like I missed this chapter of their lives because I was too consumed by work. So I’ve made choices that allow me to be both, even when it’s hard, and that’s something I’m really proud of.
