GALS is a 100% Volunteer run community group located in Invermere, BC. We do not have a shelter and rely on foster homes.

Think globally by acting locally; promote spay, neuter (globally) and adoption (locally) to address the animal overpopulation issue!

Adopted!
Invermere BC

This is Morgan. She is 5 yrs old. She a muted calico and spayed.
Morgan is used to being an indoor/outdoor cat. Fully litter trained. An amazing mouser. She will happily bring you any mice that are running around.
Morgan is very cuddly. She will sleep in your arms all night. She loves to head bump you. She might almost think she is a dog. She comes when you call her.
You can have great conversations with her as well.
Morgan is great with other animals, cat or dogs she doesn’t mind them. She even loves kids.
We have been working on riding in the car and she is getting better with it. I wouldn’t say she loves it but she is ok with it.

PUPDATE

We wanted to share the amazing success story of Ace and how happy he is in his forever home.

For those of you that didn’t know him he was a puppy that was very nervous of people. He worked with his foster family gaining confidence and then move to an incredible loving forever home where he continued his confidence building and is now thriving.

From the owners:

Every year we have a huge hog roast party with about 65 bikes, trucks trailers, mini bikes, small children, a 6month old baby, music, huge table of food….Ace ended up being there for the whole thing.

We had people showing up and camping the week before including a baby(who he was obsessed with and so gentle) and he was so well behaved we decided to not put him in daycare for the actual party.

He didn’t steal any food and had a blast.

I also took him to an artisan market and huge children’s playground in Crawford bay and he was amazing.

I’m so proud of him!

He also learned to swim! We love him so much.

We are all so happy for Ace and his new family. A very happy ending indeed.

🐾 An Update on Nola! ❤️

After being reunited with her family for a week now, we’re so happy to share that Nola is doing great!

After being missing for an incredible 42 days with very little food, Nola was brought to us last Friday so we could assess her overall health. Aside from some minor skin issues, our biggest focus has been carefully and slowly reintroducing calories while monitoring her closely with frequent bloodwork.

Over the past week, Nola has made amazing progress and has now worked her way back up to eating her regular recommended daily calories! 🎉

We couldn’t be happier to see Bob, Wendy, Sadie, and Nola all together again, and to see Nola continuing to get stronger each day. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to every single person who searched, shared posts, kept watch, offered support, and played a part in bringing Nola home. Her story truly shows what can happen when a community comes together. A Huge shout out to
GALS Animal Rescue who got Nola to the clinic first thing last Friday morning.

It really did take a community to bring Nola home. 🐾❤️

Hi my name is Marley, I am an 8 year old golden cross.

Don't let my age fool you I am still a spring chicken as one might say.

Full of energy and love and ready for adventure. I love hanging out and being around my person so where you go I am happy to follow.

I do enjoy water but I like it more when other dogs are in it.

I am getting really good at walking on the leash and my recall is really starting to come, I still need a bit of work on recall but I won't run away. I don't tend to wander to far from my person before coming back and checking in.

I love all people and am happy to see them. I am very respectful when I meet them, I just wag my tail and wait for pats. I don't jump up.

I am good with dogs but I don't like to play. Just coexistencing is my jam.

I am good with respectful kids. I enjoyed having kids camp pet me.

Cats are new to me and the ones that move really fast I want to follow so I might not be able to be with cats. Although if one stands their ground I would most likely back down. This is a bit of an unknown though.

When I get put outside I just hang around the property. I don't wander very far as I would rather hang out with you. In fact when I get put outside I come back in the dog door so I can hang out with my person.

I am smart and keen to learn new things.

I am full of love and soft kisses ready to give them to you. I love hanging out on the couch or at your feet getting pats and love.

I'm looking for someone that can offer me love, leadership and some fun.

I am not food aggressive as far as my foster mom can tell.

I do have a sister if you are looking for two doggys. Her name is Nia. She is available as well. We are great together but I am also fine splitting up as long as the right person comes for me.

Are you my person?

I'm looking for someone who has love, cuddles and fun walks to give.

I am pretty over weight as I didn't get much exercise before but I have already started losing weight.
