Big Bay Point Rd and the 20th Side Rd Intersection Coalition

The lights have officially been switched on at the intersection of Big Bay Point Road and 20th Sideroad! 🚦 This temporary four-way signal is now in place to improve safety and traffic flow ahead of the planned reconstruction of Big Bay Point Road.

Future upgrades to the corridor are expected to include turning lanes, road widening, a permanent traffic signal, traffic calming measures, a new multi-use path, and other road improvements.

The day has finally come!!

March 26th is supposedly the day the lights will be activated! 🤞

Well this isn’t promising. Closed session at Wednesday’s council meeting to discuss litigation, or potential litigation. Will the lights ever get turned on?🤔

Things are happening!!!

The lights are up and the posts are being installed for the signage!! As per a worker on site, once power is brought to the intersection, in about a week, they will be operational!!
