Hope’s Community Action Team International Overdose Awareness Day. International Overdose Awareness Day

We have so many people to thank for this event. We are so grateful for the community coming together to donate, share stories of their loved ones and help us raise awareness and end stigma.

Our Purple Chairs were displayed, sparking conversation - created by our local peers, to signify a lost loved one’s seat at the table. You will find these chairs within the community.

Our memorials are hung around the tent from previous years, continuing to remember them and share their name. Wildflower seeds were given out for a take home symbol of growth and healing.

Hope Paramedics joined us for Naloxone Training, we are so grateful for their support and expertise for the folks that came by for trainings and refreshers.

We had muffins donated by Hope’s Save on Foods. As well as Pizza donated by Hope’s Panago. These we were able to give out to folks coming by.

We were able to do 8 Raffle Prizes - all items donated by local businesses in town. I wanted to focus on food and wellness. A big thank you to: Blue Moose Coffee House Hope & Area Recreation, Booster Juice, Hope’s Home Restaurant, Boston Pizza - Hope BC

A another huge thank you to Andy at Mighty Fraser Barber Company for offering his whole day up so we can send people over for free Haircuts!
