Supporting Women through pregnancy and beyond

We’re always learning from the families we support.
What kinds of food items would be most helpful for you right now?
Staples, fresh items, easy meals, snacks — every family’s needs look different.
Your voice helps shape community support.

Healthy Futures Rural South supports pregnant and postnatal individuals — including families with toddlers age 2 and under — across the rural communities we serve.
Our programs are built around connection, nourishment, and practical support, with the goal of making sure no parent feels alone during pregnancy or early parenthood.
Support can look different for everyone, and we’re here to meet people where they’re at.

Food insecurity doesn’t always look the same.
Sometimes it’s stretching groceries until the end of the month.
Sometimes it’s choosing between essentials.
Sometimes it’s just feeling the pressure of rising costs.
Healthy Futures Rural South exists to support families through these realities — with care, dignity, and community.

Pregnancy and early parenthood can feel isolating — especially in rural communities.
Healthy Futures Rural South exists to offer connection, education, and practical support for pregnant and postnatal individuals and families with young children. Sometimes support looks like a group. Sometimes it looks like food support. And sometimes it simply looks like knowing there’s somewhere to turn when you’re ready.
However you find your way here, you’re welcome.

One of the supports offered through Healthy Futures Rural South is our Cooking Circle.
The Cooking Circle is a welcoming space to learn simple meals, share ideas, and connect with others navigating pregnancy, early parenthood, or life with young children.
It’s not about perfection — it’s about nourishment, confidence, and community.

A gentle question for parents in our community 💛
What kind of support would feel most helpful right now?
• food support
• connection with others
• information or resources
• something else entirely
You’re welcome to share — or simply reflect.

The Pregnancy Pantry is one of the ways Healthy Futures Rural South supports nourishment during pregnancy and early parenthood.
The pantry can include grains, canned vegetables, protein-rich foods, and — when possible — items like milk, yogurt, and fresh produce, especially when we know someone is coming.
The Pregnancy Pantry is available on Mondays, and can also be accessed by appointment.

One thing that’s important for our community to know:
While Healthy Futures Rural South often supports families facing financial pressure, we don’t ask for income or financial information.
Rising costs, especially at the grocery store, are something many families are feeling right now. Support shouldn’t come with added stress or barriers.
If you’re looking for connection, nourishment, or resources — you’re welcome here.

Mom — you are doing great. 💚
Even on the hard days.
Even on the tired days.
Even on the days you question yourself.
We see your effort, your love, and the care you give your children every single day.
Happy Mother’s Day. 💚
