I'm a lot behind on instagram activities. So I'm getting caught up.

Heres our Mothers Day activities and gifts!

Look what we found in the garden today.
A shell from a snail!

After our morning routine of Morning movement, songs and a story, we played with playdough!
We had some rules tho, there were no sharing items and you had to keep everything in your rectangle...no crossing the lines. But if something falls on the floor you can help a friend pick it up.
After playdough we cleaned up the table and made our rectangles disappear!

I like to give the kids an opportunity to do product art(art with an end result, like bunny ears) and process art(open ended, sensory, without a required final result).

-I like product art especially for older kids as it teaches them to follow steps/direction and there's a end goal of the craft.
-I love process art for all ages, it allows them to be creative, explore and experiment and use their imagination.

Here's a couple of our recent process art crafts. We did a glue board using random items and a lot of glue and we did another process craft using fabrics squares, foam and scrap paper.

This year our Easter art focus was bunnies! 🐰🐰🐰
We made fluffy bunnies and bunny ear crowns.

It was a snow day with buses, schools and other facilities closed for the weather.
I remained open and our nearest buddies were able to come and play for the day!

We added a search and find shake bin to our morning routine.
They get to shake it and see what's hidden inside.
I love this activity because it fosters patience, turn taking and language development through discussion. Plus we have the whole shaking a tin bin of rice experience!
