Today is Alight Arts 5th Birthday 🎉
It’s hard to believe how it all started, a self taught pyrographer who most burned charcuterie boards and signs has now turned into a Pet Portrait Artist. And oh how I love to capture those special memories you have of your babies.

I’ll be honest it took all of January to figure out what I wanted to say about 2023. It as a whole was a hard season for me. While we did have some joy in bringing home Juno, in July I lost my Mags. Our sweet little old lady, the first of my fur babies. By the end of the year I thought I had it all sorted out.

2024 dished out another hard blow. Just over two weeks ago, my mom passed away unexpectedly. My cheerleader, my friend and so it’s just been a hard go. She was the first to see my work, she loved that her kids were artists and getting their artwork out in the world.

So I’m going to keep going here, I renewed my business licence in January so it’s official. Because I want to keep giving you another way to connect to your furry, feathered and scaled family members. And because she would have wanted me too.
