I was born to Terence and Debora Törnblom in 1982 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. I married my wife Kathleen in 2007 and began Transparent Mastering in 2008.

Growing up in a musical family, I became an avid guitarist, gigging multiple times per week in jazz and progressive rock groups. I received a BSc in Chemistry at Lakehead university in 2003, following which, I earned a living as a professional musician, teaching lessons and playing in small jazz groups. In 2006, I began experimenting with mastering and found in mastering what he was searching for

Shout out to one of my favourite producers, . He is ridiculously talented at drawing the best out of his artists and creating a unique vibe for each one. 🔥

It’s been such a positive experience learning how to master tracks for him and his clients; he always has specific goals but also wants me to exercise some creative freedom as well. That makes me feel even more like part of the team! 🙌🏼 Here are a handful of artists we’ve worked with together ( is his handle as an artist).

They are all worth checking out!

It’s easier than ever these days to be distracted. I can’t believe I didn’t realize sooner that it was robbing me of being truly engaged and inspired by the art I was experiencing.

More importantly, though. What’s your favourite Princess Bride quote?

Definitely one of my favourite songs this year, maybe of all time.

This song is a great example of the whole being a greater than the sum of its parts. clearly has some serious songwriting talent and , , and .robert support this song so tastefully.

It also shows ability to bring out the magic in the artists he works with.

It feels great to be part of such an amazing team 🙌🏼

It’s been a blast working with on his music. He’s way more talented that he realizes and I’m stoked to have worked on his very first release, Turn It Back. This one is his second, Colours Fade. He also has a lot more coming and I can tell you, he’s just getting warmed up 🔥🔥🔥
