This Sunday at 4pm is the Celebration of Life for our friend and colleague Mike. Wanting everyone to have a good time, he booked the party room with food and live music at Ancaster's pub before he passed. Live music will be performed by the talented Chris Bray (). Everyone is welcome, please join us. Mike was a vendor and worked with us at Antique Avenue for over 12 years and will be missed dearly.

Hi, it's us, Antique Avenue! I know a lot of you have been very curious about what we've been up to and have been asking for updates. We miss you all and we'll be making some very special and exciting announcements in the near future so stay tuned. Fresh out of the workshop, we have for sale a pair of iconic Mid-Century Modern teak lounge chairs known as 'Scoop', designed by a Danish designer and manufactured in Canada by R. Huber & Co. in the late 1960s. They are well known for their comfortable and ergonomic design combined with quality craftsmanship!

They feature gorgeous frames made of solid teak that have been refinished with Danish oil and are in 'like new' condition. They have thick, wheat coloured, patterned upholstery that's in great shape and has just been steam-cleaned.

Each chair measures 31" wide x 44" deep x 36" inches high, with a seat height of 13" and an arm height of 18.5".

The Havana set, designed by Adrian Pearsall, consists of a chair and matching ottoman, displaying a cohesive design characterized by rounded, organic forms. The chair features a barrel-shaped backrest that curves smoothly around the seat, creating a continuous, enveloping silhouette. Wooden walnut accents at the ends of the backrest add a striking contrast, breaking the otherwise seamless appearance. The circular seat is generously cushioned for comfort and supported by four tapered walnut legs. The ottoman, crescent-shaped to align perfectly with the chair’s round seat, shares the same height for a perfect pairing. Both pieces are upholstered in a red velvet fabric.

This set does not come with casters but if you prefer we can get almost identical casters to the original one's Adrian Pearsall used. Putting these on will also raise the height of the chair and ottoman.

Iconic Ant chair designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in the 1950s. The Ant chair is a true design classic. This one is extra special because it is a first edition. This version of model 3101 is made of teak and has a chrome base.

Model 65 teak writing desk made in Denmark by Arne Wahl Iversen for Vinde Mobelfabrik.

This item could easily be employed as a writing desk as well as a vanity unit. The compact proportions are particularly useful for those looking for a statement desk but without giving up space to a large boardroom style unit. The surface features two small sliding drawers to each corner. Under the surface a large locking drawer to the left. To the right a locking panel that lifts up to reveal a removable accessory tray. Also inside two jewellery boxes behind sliding covers. Complete with two original keys. The desk is finished on all sides allowing it to be used free standing. Circa 1960.
