The Carpenteros
The Carpenteros and Friends are a group from Southern Ontario (Canada) who are committed to showing the love of Jesus Christ to communities in need in Honduras
The Carpenteros are proud to work in partnership with World Renew (Canada and Honduras), Diaconia Nacional, Alfalit, Harvest and MCM/Stewardship of Christian Ministries to support micro-finance cooperatives, education, health and sanitation training, and various community-development projects. Watch our page for upcoming events, and for information from service teams in Honduras. Addition
Twice a year (April and Sept/Oct.) the Carpenteros offer Honduran coffee. We no longer do the importing - we arrange roasting through a local importer/roaster. This allows us to support Honduran coffee growers and offer excellent coffee at wholesale pricing to our supporters. The next order is being placed in just a few days (April 7). We will have ground and whole bean coffee, in 1 lb packages, for $12.50/lb. Coffee comes in any quantity, and in boxes of 20 lbs. Please reply by message or respond to [email protected] before April 7 if you wish to order coffee.

A wonderful day began with a visit to see Maria’s Well in Los Llanitos, given in commemoration of Maria Dam’s 100th birthday. We then travelled to Piedra de Agua to worship with such beautiful and hospitable Hondurans. Finally we made our way to Comayagua and explored the amazing display of Christmas lights and enjoyed dinner with Ramiro, Waleska and Sharon Carbajal.

Today was mostly a travel day as we moved from Tegucigalpa (central Honduras) to Choluteca near the Pacific in the southwest to prepare for two days of visiting communities in this part of Honduras. But along the way we had the opportunity to meet for lunch with our dear friend Rolando Pinzon from World Renew. It was wonderful to see him, share memories and enjoy much laughter.

Ramona in the village of Linaca, near Danli in southern Honduras, turned 90 this past June. She proudly showed us the latrine that was built for her as part of the 2022 One Day Challenge campaign. At and 88, Ramona had a private toilet for the first time in her life. She is a woman who is full of joy, kindness and deep gratitude to God for all He has done in her life.

A lovely, warm reception in the community of Urungos, Honduras. This community received 15 hygiene stations as part of the Carpenteros’ 2025 One Day Challenge. Along with visiting the beneficiaries, we took part in a ceremony at the local church, distributed small Christmas gifts to children, and watched as three piñatas were beaten until they gave up their candies
