Canada Computers & Electronics has confirmed that a data breach on its website exposed personal customer information, including credit card details, from some online purchases. The company became aware of the incident last Friday and notified affected customers on Monday, but has not released full details on how many were impacted or how long the breach lasted.

Authorities and Canada’s federal privacy watchdog are involved, and some customers have already reported suspicious card activity. The retailer says it has no evidence of fraudulent use so far, but advises vigilance.
