Last two weeks on CFMU radio . Listen at cfmu.ca. Lots of new music this week and a strong italo vibe to last week’s show.

I record a radio show called “Furniture Music” that airs every Monday 7-8 pm est on in Hamilton, Ontario. You can listen at cfmu.ca. Sometimes I play new music, promos, etc. Sometimes I play songs from 30 years ago that you can’t find outside of YouTube or someone’s forgotten record bin in the corner of their basement. This week was all about connecting the dots between 90’s deep house in Italy, France, Chicago, and NYC. A couple other tunes in there for good measure as well. I’ll be back with more next Monday.

What is it about techno and modes of transportation? Planes, trains, automobiles, ships, submarines...so many tracks feature the idea of movement and travel in their titles, and with good reason: techno should make you move, both physically and mentally. This mix is an exploration of those songs, following the rule that each track must have some reference to transportation in its title. Listen on cfmu.ca, SoundCloud, or YouTube. This week’s show featured soul bootlegs from Italy, vocoder funk from Indonesia, local music from Hamilton, brand new stuff from legendary American techno producers, and so on.
