Young Italian Association - Hamilton Keeping the Italian culture alive generation after generation!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Signiori e Signiore….

We have an announcement for you all that will be sure to brighten all of your days! As we all know, the MIA held its final event this past March. With the end nearing, we could not help but try and look for other options to keep such a wonderful group alive. Unfortunately, after researching every potential option, we were unsuccessful with keeping the group at McMaster.

However, some new developments have arisen and we are excited to announce that a new group will be formed within the Hamilton community, brought to you by many of the same faces you have recognized over the years! This group will do what the MIA could not, and we are proud to say that this new organization will provide a new outlet to young Italians all over the GTA. I am proud to say that this new organization will bring you many of the same events that have been sought after for years. Events like our Montreal Trip, Dinner Dances, and Cooking Classes will have a revamped kick to them which will bring out all of you young Italo-Canadese looking for a great time that even your Nonno and Nonna would approve of! Although we would love to tell you more about these new developments, we are still working through the kinks to get this group moving so that we are ready for next year!

What we ask of you all, is for your support in filling out the attached form. This will allow the future governing body the ability to see if running another Italian association will be plausible.

Our hope is that within the next month or so we will be able to announce the start of something new that will keep our traditions alive and well for many years to come!

We would like to take this opportunity to not only thank everyone who attended this bitter sweet event, but to everyone who has been involved with the McMaster Italian Association over the years. Thank you for celebrating Italian culture with us. Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication over the years. Thank you for the memories that will last a lifetime.

We will say ciao FOR NOW, as although the club may be no more, the friendships we have built and the spirit we share will never truly end.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude. It is because of our dedicated and thoughtful members that we will be giving the MIA the send off it deserves with this incredible final gathering.

The McMaster Italian Association is extremely proud to announce details on our annual formal. However, it is with heavy hearts that we announce that this formal will be our last, marking the end of the McMaster Italian Association. This event, appropriately themed “The Grand Finale”, will be celebrating the end of an incredible era.

Come join us for a look back, at the incredible journey of the McMaster Italian Association. Share in the memories we have made and the friendships we have forged. Join us to reminisce on the past, and to look optimistically on the future. Although the McMaster Italian Association will be no more, the memories and bonds we have created through this club will last forever.

In order to make our formal a spectacular and worthy send off, we have decided to give you more of the two things Italians love—FOOD AND WINE. This year, the meal has been upgraded to include a lavish antipasto bar, as well as an open bar. Not to mention, we are bringing back our fan-favorite raffle and post dinner dancing!

The McMaster Italian Association is home safe and sound from another incredible trip to Montreal! There is no better start to semester 2, thank you to everyone who made this trip one we will not soon forget!
