Last week, we had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate World Day for Cultural Diversity! 🌎✨
Our team came together to share and showcase dishes from around the world, creating a fun and meaningful experience for everyone. Our residents loved exploring and tasting a variety of delicious foods from different cultures. It was truly a day filled with community, culture, and celebration! ❤️

🌍✨ We had an amazing time celebrating our incredible caregivers during Caregivers Week! From North America to Asia, our team enjoyed delicious tasting plates inspired by flavours from around the world 🌎🍴

Today we honoured Mother’s Day with laughter, love, sweet treats, and beautiful memories — whether our residents were celebrating being moms themselves, remembering their own mothers, or simply enjoying the joy of the day together 🌷✨

Today our team came together to bring our 2026 aspiration to life: “Promoting Cross Functional Teams.” 🤝✨
To put our collaboration skills to the test, we took on a fun puzzle challenge — with a twist! 🧩 We secretly swapped puzzle pieces between teams, which meant the only way to complete them was through communication, teamwork, and a little creative problem-solving.
Team members from all departments joined forces, connected, and worked together toward a shared goal — just like we do every day for our residents. 💛
When we collaborate across roles, we build stronger teams, stronger relationships, and an even stronger home.

Our residents brought the energy, the teamwork, and the biggest smiles as they took on Hockey Shoot 🏒, Curling 🥌, Snowboarding 🏂, Figure Skating ⛸️, Triathlon 🚴‍♀️, and Ski Jump 🎿!
We couldn’t be prouder for our residents who participated in this year’s 2026 Schlegel Olympics — the determination, laughter, and sportsmanship truly stole the show. 💙👏

Olympic prepping is officially underway here at HCC! 🏅🔥 Our residents have been working hard, practicing their skills, cheering each other on, and getting ready for the upcoming Schlegel Olympics! The excitement, determination, and team spirit has been amazing to watch — we can’t wait to see all their hard work shine on game day! 💪🎉👏

Jeanette Tubongbanua’s journey from the Philippines to Hamilton Continuing Care is one of resilience, compassion, and leadership. Starting over as a PSW, she brought empathy shaped by years of nursing and the courage to begin again in a new country. Today, she’s a mentor, a trusted team member, and a deserving Walk in My Shoes Success Award Winner.

Her story reminds us that great care is rooted in heart.

The holiday spirit was truly alive at HCC ✨🎄 Our Christmas party brought our village together for an evening filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt moments 🤍 Residents were treated to a special holiday menu and wrapped up the night with beautiful entertainment by our amazing friend Paula 🎶 It was a celebration full of cheer and togetherness that we’ll never forget ✨
