McMaster Smile Train

An MSU club focusing on student-initiated fundraising and awareness projects for the international Smile Train charity organization.

All proceeds go to safe and cost-effective surgery for children with cleft lip/palate. Every $250 raised goes directly to giving a child a life-changing surgery. These children face immense hardships such as issues with speech and eating, not to mention being out-casted and ostracized for their condition. Corrective surgery and follow-up care is essential and Smile Train offers them free of charge in addition to providing training programs to empower local doctors and hospitals.
