Full circle moment attended our camp years back. Fast forward to now reconnecting at a pickup run… what a moment.

Bringing back those memories hits different.

Full circle moment.

Years ago, I had the privilege of coaching at camps, rep basketball, summer D-League as well as Hamilton Wildcats.

Now we reconnect, sharing the court at a pickup run and honestly, it was special… competing with him and against him, seeing the growth in real time.

Josh shared with me that what we taught in those camps and on those rep teams truly prepared him for life today.

Moments like this remind me it was never just about basketball it was about the relationships, the growth, the journey and the impact beyond the game.

Do not attach your game to the referees.
Focus on coaching your players and developing their mindset.
Avoid teaching young athletes directly or indirectly that when a play or the game doesn’t go their way, the referee is to blame.

Teach accountability. Teach growth. That’s real coaching.

Make the game more enjoyable to be officiated!

Full circle moment! Reconnecting with was absolutely awesome. Can't believe how time flies last I saw him, he barely reached my waist in height lol... Happy to have had him and his brother in our programs in previous years. Love seeing him continue working on his basketball game, well disciplined and locked in, and he's a member of the Stingers Men’s Basketball Team. Grateful for these moments.
