The Hammer Rage Room, located at 185 King Street East in the city’s International Village, is Hamilton’s only rage room experience where locals can blow off some big emotions by smashing items in a self-contained space. Wearing hefty safety gear and wielding a baseball bat and other smashing tools, participants can book one of multiple experiences ranging from 15 minutes to a full hour in length with as few as one and as many as four participants at a time. This rage room also carries a creative twist: its owners are licensed reiki practitioners and the Hammer Rage Room also offers reiki sessions for a different kind of restorative, relaxing experience. Visitors can book both a rage experience and a reiki session in tandem or do either one separately. “The Hammer Rage Room is all about balance: the adrenaline-pumping release of destruction, paired with the calming, restorative power of Reiki.
