"Amy and Kevin are thousands of kilometers away from home with their children, determined to help their daughter Maggie toughen up in the last few weeks before she begins her high school journey. When they arrive on the east coast and enter their summer rental home, it's clear that danger lurks in the walls. It burns with anger, raging against all of them, threatening to destroy more than just their sanity. Old family secrets will be exposed, relationships tested, and flesh burned before the house and the vengeful spirit within it are finished with them. The Burning House is a story of grief, mental illness, mad science and ghostly flames that threaten to end one family's existence in the name of revenge."
Paperback and ebook will be available on Amazon worldwide on April 1, 2026!
Note for reviewers: this is not extreme horror (compared to Soup). There are moments of gore, but The Burning House is a dark ghost story with some fun weird science, discussion of anxiety disorders and family dysfunction, and betrayal. No SA, animal cruelty or s*x.
Age recommendations: 13+ (if they can read Stephen King, they will be fine with this)

Hey Hamilton! Looking for something fun to do for Valentine's Day? We just popped in for the first time to celebrate Al's birthday and let me tell you, this place is amazing!!
The Valentine's special is a crazy good deal. $60 for a bottle of wine, a charcuterie board (or bbqterie!), and unlimited play time for 2. There's lots of room up here and hundreds of games to choose from. And the wine is from our favoutite local winery, Ridge Road!
Perfect pairing: Call me a Cab (2019) and the bbqterie!
5 stars, highly recommend!!

Hello 2023! It's been awhile! My biweekly review is up on the Grimoire of Horror website and The Banshee. I decided to share my thoughts about White Noise (2022) as my first official post of the new year, because the theme almost perfectly depicts the way I've been feeling about life lately, myself. The film is categorized as a comedy/horror/drama, but it's more like an existential thought experiment that was made with a massive budget and a stellar cast. People either love it or hate it, but the same could be said about life, right?
Let me know if you saw it, if you "got it", and what you thought of it.
White Noise (2022) Film Review - Arthouse Horror Comedy Noah Baumbach's White Noise (2022) proves that life is a train wreck, and we all want to watch it happen! Check out our film review at Grimoire of Horror.
