WINspirational event did not disappoint tonight. Patricia MacPherson and I had the privilege of meeting many amazing women tonight including many of our great partners.

Sometimes you get to meet someone who inspires you to be a better leader, a better advocate to those who need it the most and a better human, tonight I got to hear from an inspiring women that RBC is very lucky to have, Chinyere Eni-McLean, B.A., M.B.A., P.F.P.

She is lifelong passionate active volunteer for several community organizations including the War Amputations of Canada Child Amputee Program, The Amputee Coalition of Canada, and the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

In 2013, Chinyere received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award for service to Canada. In 2020, she was recognized as an RBC Global Citizen Award winner which acknowledges top-performing employees who have displayed an incredible commitment to giving time and expertise to communities by volunteering and leading charitable initiatives.

RMHC is a great place for families to stay close to their loved ones while their child is unwell. This charity is particularly close to my heart as when my nephew was born, he was very ill and spent over a month in the neonatal intensive care unit. RMHC provided a place for my brother-in-law to stay for over 30 days where he could visit his baby at any time of the day without having to worry about the long commute to the hospital, reducing costs and providing a home away from home. As RMHC says, "when families stay together, sick children get stronger”.

A great investment in our leadership team learning from some of the best of the best Country wide. It was great to meet so many colleagues and executives in person.
