It’s a good week to already carry a book about the Royal Opera House 🩰😉
Curtain Up! Behind the Scenes at the Royal Opera House, illustrated by Lauren O’Hara, takes kids backstage at one of the world’s most famous ballet and opera houses. Guided by Figaro the resident theater cat, you get the full picture — how costumes are made and changed in 45 seconds flat, how wigs and props are built, how the orchestra pit works, what a dressing room looks like 15 minutes before curtain. What comes through on every page is just how many people, and how much work, it takes to raise that curtain. It’s a genuinely wonderful introduction to a world most of us never get to see.
