IEEE Canadian Atlantic Section

The IEEE Canadian Atlantic Section (CAS) successfully organized a Robotics Competition as part of its Pre-University STEM Outreach Initiative under the Teachers In-Service Program (TISP) at Eastern Shore Consolidated High School.

The IEEE Canadian Atlantic Section extends its sincere appreciation to the newly appointed TISP Chair, Dr. Muhammad usman Ghani, for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment in planning and executing this event. His efforts were instrumental in providing students with an engaging and enriching learning experience while promoting interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

This initiative reflects IEEE CAS's continued commitment to fostering engineering awareness and inspiring future generations of innovators through meaningful outreach activities. The Section intends to expand similar programs to additional schools within the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE), further strengthening engagement with educators and students and promoting Electrical and Computer Engineering among pre-university learners.

These efforts are being advanced under the leadership of IEEE Canadian Atlantic Section Chair, Dr. Muhammad U. Asad, whose vision and commitment to STEM outreach continue to support the Section's educational and community engagement objectives.

The IEEE Canadian Atlantic Section also expresses its gratitude to the participating students, teachers, volunteers, and supporters whose contributions were essential to the success of this event.

IEEE Canadian Atlantic Section would like to thank the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, John Newhook; the ECE Department Head, Kamal El-Sankary; and Branch Counselor Jason Gu for helping present the IEEE Silver Medal at the Dalhousie University ECE Spring Convocation ceremony 2026.
