Toronto + home opener weekend….yes we’re ready for you!!!! Gonna be a fun one!

Looking forward to this weekend…I will be in the main building with for lovely knitting patterns, kits, project bags and a small selection of premade hats!

Prepping to teach my first knitting class at this weekend in knitting with beads!

But I needed a little brain break from prep and my new design and stumbled across .and.pine.designs Cottage Hair Accessories…such cute, well written patterns for using up your favourite yarns! Still had to stay on point with prep so I worked in some beads on this scrunchie! 😍❤️!

10/10 on picking up this set of patterns….now which do I make next 🤔

Way to kick off the 2025 fibre season at the retreat last weekend! It was so nice we even had time to sit and knit outside for a few hours!

I did my very first demo at the retreat on knitting with beads. I’ve enjoyed beading since I was little and really dove into incorporating it to my knitting last year. Since I have developed some combined techniques and looking forward to sharong more.

I will be teaching a class at in a few weeks!

Pulled out a pattern I haven’t used since designing a couple of years ago now!

When a batch of new colour way went sideways I begged for this “happy accident” skein to make myself a cowl for Valentines! I got to name the colou too…HOT LIPS!!!! This is my “Where is the Love” pattern with a couple little personal alterations!

I truly love designing knitting patterns and have had the opportunity to make them for indie dyers and yarn stores.

These two designs have just come back to me when the company that commissioned them closed. While I was sad to see them close I am excited to now make them available in collaboration with Nerds With Needles as knitting kits!

Slippity Do Da is a sweet, semi-circular shawl made with 2 skeins of sock yarn.

The Effortless Toque is a bottom up hat knit in the round on worsted weight yarn.

Both of the patterns and kits will be available at PEI Fibre Festival Oct 3-5.

Knitters know, usually you have more than one project on the go at a time…never have I bounced between such big extremes at a time!
Since then i have completed a new design with LACE while I was making a baby gift with SUPER BULKY!!!!

My fingers hates me but my heart is full!

Not sure what part of my brain decided it was smart to try and design with lace, but here I am on the other side alive to tell the tale!

Sometimes what works in your brain doesn’t translate to the yarn but so far so hood, we’ll wait and see how this goes!
